The Imagine Hockey League – Teams
Our first Edition of The Imagine Hockey League is a 10 team league made from the statistics of elite teams spanning from the 1970s to modern day.
For the games player cards we came up with our own fun Teams and Player Names
The following is the list of teams we used for statistics and the names we changed the teams to
We ranked them based on goal differential from 1 to 10
The Vintage Division

The Lawmen
The Lawmen bring order to hockey town with this team of Sherrifs, Bounty Hunters and Detectives from the Old West. Hickock, Bean, and others lead the charge with this posse of six shootin’ hockey players. A team of discipline and good goaltending and a good offence the Outlaws rank as one of the better teams in the League. When the Outlaws and Lawmen clash on ice its hard to predict who will come out on top. Statistics from the 98/99 Stars were entered into the Hockey Team Machine and converted into action numbers for each Lawman hockey player.

The Outlaws
The Outlaws are team of badass hi-shooting loose cannons based on real outlaws in history. Jesse James gangs together with other outlaws from the west shoot up the IMGHL with plenty of shots while Doc Holliday tends the net. The Outlaws are Hi offence team with good goaltending and a strong defence but take lots of penalties. We entered the stats of the 74/75 Philidelphia Flyers into The Team Machine and converted them into player cards for the Outlaws.
The Dead Presidents
Republicans and Democrats put their differences aside and team up for the good of the country. Like that would ever happen, but hey thats why our game is called Imagine Hockey! In a democratic election Lincoln was named team captain and Kennedy alternate captain. Nixon leads in net and the Dead Presidents are ready to carry the flag. Based on stats of the Washington Capitals. The Dead Presidents rely heavily on just a few players to provide offense and with good goaltending ae ranked as a middle team in the IMGHL
The Artists
Some say hockey is an art form so why not a team of Artisits? The Artists are a team of famous artists from history. Watch this team create a masterpiece with Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Cezzane, and others shooting and passing with the flick of a wrist. The Artists are a high offence team but struggle with turnovers and mediocre goaltending however if the coach (you) makes good line combinations and wise line changes the Artists can skate to victory. Inspired by statistics from the 24/25 Oilers.r the Outlaws.

The Inventors
This team of Inventors strive to re-imagine the game with their Inventions. Zamboni brings his ice sweeping machine and takes to the net. Eddison brings his electricity and lights up the outdoor rink for night games. Colt brings his six shooter and has deadly aim with his shot while Orville and Wilbur Wright fly around the ice. The Inventors were one of the top teams in our game trials. A mediocre offence but excellent goaltending and strong defensively make them a teakm to be reckoned with. The statistics from the 67/68 Maple Leafs were entered into the team machine.
The Wild Division

The Bears
The Bears is a team of just that, Bears. 20 different types of bears or nicknames for bears make up this team of bruisers. Grizzly leads the charge with Panda in goal and with Polars strong defence the Bears are an elite team in the IMGHL. The statistics for the 71/72 Boston Bruins were sent into the Hockey Team Machine and converted into action numbers for the bear players. Each individual card does not represent any specific real player but rather give a general realistic experience of hockey based on a team in history.

The Wet Wings
The Wet Wings are a team of ducks with Mallard, Harlequin, and Goldeneye leading the way as The Wet Wings dip, dive, and paddle their way through their opponents. On defence Rudder, Scooter and others Quack and flap away as they smother the other team while Flapper the flopper tends to the nets. The Wet Wings cards were derived from the stats of the 98/99 Red Wings

The Furricanes
Dog breeds big and small make up this team of canines called The Furricanes. The small but feisty Jack Russell creates havoc on the wing while Shepherd and Rotwieler patrol the front of the net protecting their goalie Husky. In our game trials the Furricanes were in the middle of the pack.
The Cool Cats
This collection of Cool cats strut their stuff with Tomkinese, Siamese, Bobtail, Munchkin, and other small cat breeds band together to make up The Cool Cats. With lightning quick strikes the Cool cats can pounce quickly when opportunity arises. The action numbers converted from stats of the Florida Panthers bring life likeaction to the game.

The Monsters
The Monsters are the black sheep of the division. Intimidation is there game with scary players up front like werewolf, Dracula, and Ghost and a frightening Defence with Zombie and Medusa leading the pack. In goal rolls of extra gauze add protection to Mummy althought it slows his reaction time. The Monsters a re capable of scoring lots but are suspect on Defence and in Goal.
